Adding FTP accounts

To add an FTP account, first log into your cPanel and look for this icon:

That would then bring you to this page:

Log In: This is the 'username' portion of the FTP account.

Password: Choose a password for the FTP account.

Directory: This is used if you want to restrict FTP accounts to a certain folder, or a certain group of folders. If you want to allow unrestricted access to all of the web files, you should set type in only " public_html ".

FTP accounts are used if you want to access your webfiles from an external FTP client, such as FileZilla, or FireFTP. You may also use 'File Manager' from directly within cPanel to access your files.
